Maestro Andrew Gekoskie (Andrzej Dzikowski) is the Music Director/Conductor of the  Orchestra X Project  located in Florida, USA. His mission includes the commitment to change lives through music’s extraordinary power to communicate, and thus inspire, uplift, educate and entertain. Maestro is dedicated to challenging classical performance boundaries by offering fresh interpretations of the standard orchestral repertoire as well as the discovery of new and unusual works. Through live performances that are evocative, dramatic, and passionate, Maestro Gekoskie’s commitment has always been to seek to develop new , and current audiences of all ages, to experience classical music. Maestro Gekoskie will return to Carnegie Hall in 2026 conducting the music of Christopher Tin.  He as also, recently been featured in Susquehanna University's Currents Magazine Spring/Summer 2025 (click here for the featured article.)

Having a wide range of experiences, Maestro Gekoskie has conducted performances throughout the US, Austria, Italy, England, Ukraine and the Czech Republic.

 

Throughout his decades long career Maestro Gekoskie continues to have a strong commitment to music education and music in our schools. He has been a guest on PBS's "Desert Island Disks", featured in SBO Magazine (School Band and Orchestra) national magazine  for his work in music education, and a frequent guest speaker at music education conferences and institutions throughout the United States and Europe.  His commitment to "music education for all" continues to drive his passion to change the lives of audiences of all ages, through music's extraordinary power to communicate, inspire, uplift, include, and engage - the true"audiences" of today and tomorrow.
